Policy outline
- Foundation Stand Up4Talent was created to give children and youngsters under 25, who are growing up in environments with inadequate access to education, the opportunity to develop their talents.
- The Foundation gives substance to this objective through the establishment, support and financing of specific activities and projects, preferably through local, reliable networks and contacts. This prevents money and effort to be wasted or ending up in the wrong hands. A precondition for projects: we invest directly in the people (for instance by financing school fee, tuition or other ways of talent-development), the money does not go to buildings, furniture, computers etc.
- To finance its activities, the foundation will rely on sponsorship, fundraising activities by individuals and businesses, and government grants.
- Project proposals that meet the goals of the foundation will be reviewed by the board. After substantiation and verification of conditions described in the policy, the board will decide on whether or not to run the project, and on how to control and monitor the deployment of people and resources is designed. The board shall decide only about the deployment of people and resources if there are sufficient funds in the manpower and resources that the Foundation has at its disposal. The Foundation will never commit to anything that is not previously adequately protected within the (financial) possibilities of the foundation.
- Foundation Stand Up4Talent is governed by a three-headed board, consisting of: Stefan Schuwer (chairman), Thérèse Mol (secretary), Jack van Uden (treasurer).
- The board of the Foundation is working unpaid and is fully committed selflessly for the objectives of the Foundation. The board may be supported by (also unpaid) advisers and companies.
