Finance

Fundraising

The Foundation obviously needs money to finance its activities. To finance its activities, the Foundation will undertake the following activities in order to (preferably continuously) get funding:

  • Sponsorship and sponsorship activities by individuals and companies who are sympathetic to the Foundation’s work;
  • Grants from governments;

Deployment and utilization of resources (and manpower)

The resources and manpower the Foundation has at its disposal, will be sued for projects that meet the objectives of the Foundation. To this end, a project is presented to the board, explaining and justifying:

  • Why the project meets the objectives of the Foundation;
  • What results are to be achieved by the project;
  • Which deployment of resources and manpower is needed;
  • (Optional) The way in which (part of) the necessary manpower and resources are provided (co-funding, already pledged grants, contributions from third parties, e.a.)
  • How it is guaranteed that resources and manpower are spent optimally;
  • What phases can be built into the decision (to secure the control of the use and effects of the deployment);
  • Who is responsible for the project;
  • How the progress of the project is reported.

The board then makes a decision about whether or not to carry out the project, and the way in which control and surveillance of the deployment of people and resources will take place.

The board decides only on deployment of people and resources if there is adequate coverage within the manpower and resources that the Foundation has at its disposal. The board will never commit to anything that is not secured sufficiently in advance within the (financial) possibilities of the Foundation.
