Activities and projects
Foundation StandUp4Talent aims to achieve its goals through concrete activities and projects on a local scale, preferably via local, reliable networks and contacts. So money and effort will not be wasted or go into the wrong pockets.
Besides financial support for projects, board members (and employees where necessary) will fulfill an active role within the startup of projects. Deployment of knowledge and experience, own initiatives, use of relevant networks, promoting contact between institutions and individuals, in short, everything that can contribute to the objectives of the Foundation will be used by the board and employees.
Preconditions for projects
We invest “directly in the people”, for instance by financing school fees, tuition or other ways of talent development. We do not invest in buildings, furniture, computers, etc. There are a lot of organizations that offer this, very necessary, form of support.
With this choice, Foundation StandUp4Talent can consciously offer another way of help and support. On one hand, this aid can be complimentary to the more tangible forms of assistance. On the other hand, other target groups can be reached. Youngsters that for instance have a good school or university in the direct area, but lack the financial resources and/or inspirational coaches who can help them to gain access to these schools or universities.
At this stage, we are supporting school children and college students in Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Peru, Nepal and Nigeria.
